The 5 Main Reasons You'd Want To Book

01

You want to experience the creativity and fun parts of planning and styling: you’ll still enjoy the fun parts, but skip the boring and difficult stuff.

02

You want 12+ months of your life back so you can enjoy your engagement and have more date nights—no more stress, confusion, uncertainty, and overwhelm.

03

You’re too busy at work (usually long hours in high-profile or high-pressure careers) and you can’t reliably find enough time to properly focus on planning without totally burning yourself out.

04

You want to give your guests an experience that stuns them, having them say it’s the best wedding they’ve been to and it sets the new standard.

05

You want to be fully present to experience every moment of your wedding with your guests, instead of being stuck with management responsibilities, missing a lot of moments.

My Experience and Who I Am

Hi, I’m Ella!

I’m a well-networked wedding planner living in Bendigo and I specialise in weddings in regional Victoria and Moama.

I’ve worked in the industry since 2018 across more than 400 weddings, and I’ve been a wedding planner for almost 2 years now.

The broad experience of roles I have (planner, furniture and decor hire specialist, stylist, coordinator, and event manager) allows me to see problems and find their solutions in unique ways that other planners can’t.

Despite being early in my career as a wedding planner, I’ve managed to win a few awards, so I guess I’ve made someone happy with my work!

I’m very passionate about celebrations, events, but especially weddings — I’m always up for a chat, and if we’re be a match then I’d love to explore how I can take your big day to the next level to achieve that “Dream Wedding” status, and make the 12+ month lead up so much easier and more enjoyable!

Hope we can chat soon!

Would We Be A Match?

A quick fit check:

01

You want a classic-type wedding (it’s what you think of when you hear the word “wedding”). This is the most popular type of wedding—it’s not an elopement, gathering, or something too far “outside-the-box”.

02

You’re getting married in regional Victoria or Moama. I specialise in these areas and will bring you the best results working here.

03

Your budget is at least $45,000 + $5,000 buffer for 80 people. A lower budget means too many compromises. NOTE: Fewer people means the budget can be lower.

04

You want a style that ISN’T “Rustic”. I’m not a fan, so I haven’t learnt it and you’d be better served by another planner/stylist. (I can connect you to someone who is).

NOT REQUIRED: Ideally, more than 12 months out from your wedding day. I’ve done an emergency wedding with 2 weeks' notice, but I don’t want to make it a habit. If you’re closer to your wedding day than normal, you’re welcome to enquire, but no promises.

Live outside regional Victoria? If so, your planning will be much easier if you have a specialist doing all the groundwork for you.

How Your Life Would Change If You Booked A Wedding Planner

Imagine getting 500 hours of your life back, trading spreadsheet stress for date nights — while upgrading every detail of your wedding. A planner’s impact lasts the full 12-month journey and not just the one day.

Below: A side-by-side look at how different life is when you DIY vs. booking a wedding planner, based on personal findings from hundreds of regional Vic weddings and further research to confirm the frightening facts I found…

What 12+ Months of Planning Looks Like

DIY-Weddings vs. With A Planner

Stress That Never Ends
She juggles full-time work plus an unpaid “wedding-planning” job. Midnight Google search panics, broken sleep, decision-fatigue, and guilt felt because she’s told she should be enjoying it but she isn’t are the new norm.

Peace of Mind & Excitement
Anxiety disappears with her planner handling it all. Some days she awakens excited for updates, and she’s able to sleep at night again—no more “what am I forgetting?” thought loops. Her physical, mental, and emotional health returns.

Zero Free Time & Task Overwhelm
Up to 500 unpaid hours that consist of confusing venue inspections, email ping-pong with vendors, and spreadsheet chaos. Weekends vanish, and decision paralysis creates an ever-growing list of unfinished tasks.

A Few Easy Decisions = Date Nights
The planner reduces her work to quick executive decisions. She OKs many curated options in minutes or hours, not days or weeks, and progress reports keep her in the loop. With all the reclaimed time, she can enjoy date nights and weekends away again.

Confusion with Regional Vic Logistics
Permits, generators, guest transport, accommodation, backup marquees, catering facilities—and many other details she’ll never have even heard of, let alone organised before.

Basic Approvals With Guidance
Her regional Vic planner already knows typical venue demands and arranges power, transport, permits, and comprehensive wet-weather backup plans. She simply reviews the options with her partner and signs off.

Vendor Suspicion and Anxiety
Cold-calling vendors, comparing PDFs at lunch, fearing hidden fees, no-shows, or terrible jobs. Every contract feels like a gamble, and she wonders if she’s being oversold addons and being overcharged.

Confidence in Vendors, Hands-Off XP
The planner is her single contact who vets and cherry-picks the perfect vendors, the ideal service level, and guards her budget from under or over-buying. Negotiations, management, communication, and follow-up are all handled. Vendor confidence soars.

Budget-Creep, Blowouts, Money Stress
Rush fees, panic-bought décor, “just-in-case” over-ordering, late fees, and contract breaches hidden in the fine print—it’s a never-ending stream of $50 here and $200 there until a budget blow-out seems inevitable.

Strict Budget Control & Savings
Budget blow-outs are no longer a worry: her planner discusses, sets, and tracks an agreed-upon budget, cuts low-impact spending early, finds savings, and uses efficient budget allocation methods. By her wedding day the planner has “paid-their-own-way”, come close to it, or has even saved her extra money.

Strained Relationships
Late-night spreadsheets and headaches replace romance, laughter, and quality time. Money arguments and forgotten tasks create a high-tension home. She snaps at her family from all the stress, then feels guilty.

Strengthened Bonds
Her planner shoulders the stress, she can now enjoy guided planning dates and tastings. Excitement during her engagement and for the wedding returns, and by her big day she’s well-rested and their relationship feels stronger.

Concern Over Bad Guest Experience
She’s terrified of creating a bad experience for guests and fears them getting lost, bored, stuck waiting for services, feeling uncomfortable, and being seen as an afterthought. She worries they’ll focus on her wedding’s flaws, not the memories and experiences.

Confidence In An Amazing Guest XP
Her planner prioritises the guest journey and experience. Excitement grows as she learns more about “wedding flow” and the thoughtful touches woven in to create an amazing atmosphere for all.

Wedding planning becomes dread or delight with one decision:

Whether a professional handles it all for you.

What Wedding Week Looks Like

DIY-Weddings vs. With A Planner

The Day Before = Dread
She drags herself out of bed after four fractured hours of sleep and faces an inbox exploding with venue and vendor questions. Rushing through last-minute tasks, tense and foggy, her heart sinks at every panic-text from Mum. Chaos drags her off-track and dread settles in.

The Day Before = Anxious Excitement
Wedding jitters wake her after six hours of sleep, but excitement returns when a final Zoom confirms everything’s on track. The planner hands over a simple 48-hour plan, and if they’re not having a traditional wedding where they avoid a first look, they toast their last-engaged night with their favourite pizzas and wine, feeling organised, not overwhelmed.

The Big Day = Work, Issues, Exhaustion
She couldn’t set up yesterday, so a very early start with little sleep has her rushing to the venue in the early hours of the morning so she can make it back in time to get her makeup done, wishing someone else could be running the show. While managing timelines and vendors she misses special moments. Problems flare and fade, thankfully, there are no critical disasters, yet she’s never fully present.

Pride mixes with regret by night’s end—she’s proud they did the very best they could, but feels like something was missing...

The Big Day = Amazement, Experiences
Nervous excitement bubbles, then the day flows effortlessly. Everything feels choreographed but never rushed. She never needs or even thinks of checking the time as every moment is guided, and she feels like the guest of honour who’s able to fully be present for every moment without missing anything or any of her guests.

Her planner is working behind the scenes to run everything and fix hiccups silently. Guests remark on how seamless everything feels, and she just smiles, feeling so glad with how her dream wedding unfolded.

After The Wedding...
Feeling exhausted, the couple returns the next morning to pack down as per venue contract. As she stacks boxes she begins replaying every problem in her mind small and large, wondering what their guests will say. A year of draining planning leaves her craving the honeymoon just to decompress.

After The Wedding...
She sleeps in while the planner handles pack-down. At brunch she and guests relive highlights on their phones, praising the wedding’s flawless flow and how it’s set the bar. Relaxed, proud, and still on-budget, she now eagerly anticipates a carefree honeymoon.

Book a planner and you’ll be fully present and experiencing every moment of your big day, not missing out on them because you’re managing the chaos.

The Big Picture Roadmap Of What I’ll Do At Each Stage

Missing: Those 1,001 tiny details that bog the planning of every wedding down and confuse couples who choose the DIY-route.

THE NO-RISK TRIAL STAGE

Foundations First: Around 12+ Months Out (Get all of this at no risk: see how you’re covered by my guarantee)

Your Starting Style is Created

This is likely to change but is needed because it allows other decisions to be made.

Budget Set, and an Allocation Plan laid out

Realistic cost consultation given, with a plan created to achieve your goals without going over budget.

Guest List guidance given

If requested, with instructions and assistance.

Locking in your Wedding Date

The process I use makes sure you get your ideal style, maximised attendance, and most-wanted vendors.

Venues Short-Listed with the best choice locked in

Site visits as required. Inspections with me aren’t always needed if I know the venue extremely well.

Booking of your Core 4: Photographer/Videographer | Caterer | Celebrant | Florist

Best options for you are narrowed down and approved before I speak with them and lock them in.

Wedding Day Starter Timeline drafted

A very flexible timeline so planning decisions can be made.

RISK FREE: Just pay the first instalment and all the above gets handled. Not happy about something? If at any point you’d like to cancel, you’ll get every cent back. Otherwise, if you love how well it’s all going, we continue onto the 3 Waves of Wedding Planning…

The 3 Waves

Planning Wave: 12+ to 6 months out

NOTE: The “Foundation First” stage is the early part of the planning wave. The other tasks that get completed afterwards include:

Complimentary Wedding Website & RSVP tools

Created (based on your starter style), launched, and managed.

Setting of Pinterest Homework

With guidance along the way

Booking remaining vendors

Examples include music, beauty, transport, etc. Styling vendors also booked now but worked with later on.

Initial Layout & Floor Plan drafted (if needed)

Helps create a framework to make decisions, so it sometimes isn’t needed until the next wave.

Master File created and managed

All receipts, plans, decisions, reports, and management processes.

Styling Wave: 3 to 6 months out

Full Moodboard finalised - Professional Style Guide created - Mock-ups made

Your inspo gets turned into a professional moodboard, which gets turned into a set of rules, which create your style. Demonstrations are sent to you for review before full styling begins.

Styling Design becomes the new focus

Florals, stationery, table-scapes, lighting, floorplans and more…

Site Visits

These happen a few times to confirm measurements & tweaks. I recommend you’re present for these (a great excuse for a weekend trip!)

Comprehensive Wet-Weather Plan created

This typically gets worked on during the drafting of the floorplan. Vendors are contacted if plans are unusual.

Coordination Wave: 3 months out, up until your big day

Vendor and Venue plans and confirmations made with all parties

I’ll contact your venue and vendors to confirm the plan and services they’ll be providing. All payments are finalised.

Timelines and Info Sheets finalised and sent to all relevant parties

Includes the main timeline, MC’s timeline, vendor timelines, wedding party timelines, contact details sheet, and more…

Guest Management and Logistics

Numbers and details for the caterer and bar, stationery designer, and venue. Seating arrangements finalised.

Wedding Party duties performed

Including the MC briefing, ceremony rehearsal, seating plan, polishing of speeches, and more…

Wet Weather Plan enacted (if applicable)

Including the contacting and organisation of all relevant parties.

Personal Reminders For You!

So you’re looking good and feeling healthy for your big gday: grooming, tanning, nails, haircut and more (for the groom too!)

Wedding Day & Beyond

Wedding Day
  • Pre-arrival and pre-ceremony checkups and reassurance for you and your partner
  • Morning vendor bump-in and setup
  • Running of the timeline (including check-ins, assistance, and coaching with relevant parties before key moments)
  • Flipping spaces (moving furniture and decor from ceremony to reception, and setting up the reception space)
  • Firefighting (fixing issues quietly in the background without alarming you)
  • Guest management and direction
  • Your personal assistant when not coordinating
Post-Wedding
  • Packdown of your venue and overseeing bump-out with vendors
  • Returning any items to you so you don’t have to retrieve them
  • Giving you my best-wishes before sending you off to enjoy your honeymoon!

Addressing Some Concerns

“I’m worried you’ll steamroll my ideas and use a generic template and it won’t be my vision any more!”

It’s not about me—it’s your wedding so I’d hate for you to lose your vision! Because of this, your ideas take the front seat, and if anything, they get amplified in ways that will surprise you with what’s possible.

“If I book, you’ll make me spend way over-budget”

A golden rule of a planner is to stay within the set budget. I’ll even create a plan with you that stops overspending. If your budget is too low for me to work with effectively (less than $45k + $5k buffer for 80 people) it’s unlikely that you’ll qualify, unless you have a smaller scale wedding. If you’re unsure, you’re more than welcome to contact me.

“I’m worried I’ll get a cookie-cutter wedding”

A number of the strategic-level processes are the same across weddings, but it’s all the details and your personal elements that will make your wedding unique. In fact, you may be even better off as I can find better ways to do things, having you say “We can do that?!”

“What happens if you get sick or an emergency prevents you from coordinating on our big day?”

Another planner will step in for coordination after I’ve briefed them. I’m well networked so I know who can be trusted with the plans and I always have them as a plan B if an emergency happens and I can’t coordinate. If this were to happen, I’d cover all costs.

“I’m concerned you’ll book vendors who give you referral fees rather than ones that would be best for me”

Kickbacks or referral fees are more common near Melbourne, but not in regional Vic. The culture is different, and because there are fewer vendors, we’re more focused on figuring out who can reliably do a good job rather than how we can get kickbacks or charge for referral fees.

“I’m worried about being left in the dark with work. How often will you keep me updated?”

You’ll get updates as frequently as you’d like. Some couples prefer weekly, some prefer monthly. You’ll always be able to manually check the Master File which contains your entire wedding’s plans, receipts, ideas, and more.

Tighter timeframes needing faster decisions mean more frequent contact (eg. your wedding’s a month or two out). If your plans have high complexity or are irregular it often means more frequent contact too. Remember, you’ll always have my guidance no matter what, so decisions are usually easy.

Harmful Myths

MYTH:

If you have a venue manager, you don’t need a wedding planner.

THE TRUTH:

The venue manager’s main concern is the venue. The wedding planner’s main concern is you. The best the venue manager can do is give you some tips with what works there but very little else, and very rarely do they give you help with other vendors.

On your big day, a venue manager won’t help with much at all, they usually will only do what’s required by the venue as per contract. These reasons are why a venue manager will never be able to replace a wedding planner.

MYTH:

You miss out on all the fun, enjoyable parts of wedding planning when you book a planner.

THE TRUTH:

The opposite is true: if you book a planner, you get to experience ONLY the enjoyable parts of planning—and they’re even more fun. A planner handles everything you’d hate doing, but also gives guidance and helps with ideas so you enjoy the creative process and the experiences even more. Just let me know everything you’d like to do and I’ll make sure it happens!

MYTH:

Anyone can be a coordinator so long as there is one.

THE TRUTH:

A wedding day runs for more than 12 hours, it’s not just the celebration but the setup and prep too. Without industry experience as a coordinator, it’s very hard for a non-professional to manage vendors, solve their problems, run and adjust the timeline, and make the right decisions on the fly.

If a guest is doing it they definitely won’t be enjoying themselves—they’ll be very stressed out.

MYTH:

Planning apps, courses, and websites make it so a wedding planner is no longer needed.

THE TRUTH:

These will help massively with DIY, but experience spots things you won’t, and they often create a cookie-cutter wedding. And you’ll still be stuck managing your wedding instead of experiencing it.

MYTH:

Wedding planners are expensive.

THE TRUTH:

A wedding planner takes thousands of dollars off their asking price. In my case, you’d expect to reduce your costs by $5,000 to $15,000 without compromises, often meaning you’re getting my planning services for free. See the Price & Payment Plans page below for more details on how. Have 10 minutes? Read the full explanation.

MYTH:

DIY saves a lot of money.

THE TRUTH:

Two separate studies done in 2024 and 2025 show couples went over budget by between 18% and 28.5% on average, and according to a Forbes Australia 2023 survey of over 3,500 Aussie couples, it was an average of 26%. I also ran a focus group a number of years ago for brides who DIY’ed and found the numbers to be about the same, sometimes much more. Budget creep is very common when you haven’t planned a wedding before.

MYTH:

Private property weddings save money.

THE TRUTH:

These tend to be at least $10,000 more than a wedding of the same guest count at a venue. Why? Infrastructure and amenities, logistics, and delivery fees (especially for extra infrastructure). There’s one major reason to go with a private property wedding—you’ve got ultimate creative freedom.

MYTH:

Wedding planners are only for complex or over-the-top luxury weddings

THE TRUTH:

Contrary to popular belief, regular weddings ARE complex. And they are VERY complex. There’s no other vendor that will impact your life and wedding as much as a planner will, which is why they need to be seen as an essential service provider, not a nice-to-have.

Frequently Asked Questions

“How many weddings do you have at once?”

One per weekend only. This means if you’re having your wedding in peak wedding season (March, April, October, November), you need to book sooner rather than later.

“What are the earliest, latest, and most ideal times to book?”

The earliest time you can book is the day you get engaged, but ideally, you’d be about 18 to 12 months from your big day. Less than that isn’t ideal, but we may still be able to work something out.

“What happens after I book your wedding planning package?”

If we both agree we’d be a great fit and you decide to move ahead on the Service Fit Call, I’ll send you an invoice. When you’ve signed the included contract and paid the first instalment, I’ll begin work. Your Master File will be set up, and shortly after I’ll have a discovery call with you both to get the finer details of your wedding. From there, we’ll focus on the “Foundation First” — see the guarantee in the next few pages for more details.

“Do you travel outside of Victoria?”

At this stage I focus mostly on regional Victoria and Moama as I specialise there. You can book me for a wedding outside of these areas, but I’d recommend against it as you’d be better served by a local planner who knows the vendors and venues really well.

“How do payment plans work?”

When your wedding is 12 or more months away, you’ll pay the first instalment which covers you with the Foundation First guarantee. The other instalments are every 3 months from the day of your booking. This makes a grand total of 4 payments (including the initial payment for the Foundation First).

If you’ve got less than 12 months, a custom contract will be drawn up that we both agree on.

Price & Payment Plans

HOW IT’S ACHIEVED:

Why You Should Book (And Why NOW Is The Best Time)

Choosing the DIY route creates 3 unsolvable problems:

  1. You’re making high-consequence decisions without lots of experience.
  2. You must manage and work, meaning you miss out on a lot of experiences.
  3. You’ll be hit by problems that only professionals can spot before they happen.

Most (if not all) of your costs get covered, you’ll have a risk-free trial, and there are payment plans, which is why it’s worth taking a look with a 15 or 30 minute call.

You’ll get 12 or more months of your life back, and you’ll get to enjoy experiencing your dream wedding with your guests instead of managing it, so why not book a Service Fit Call today?

What Happens During A Service Fit Call

The main things we’ll focus on:

  • Finding out if you qualify. If you do, we move onto…
  • Finding out what your dream wedding would look like. If I can make it happen, we move onto…
  • Creating a rough and very basic plan. If you love it, we can move forwards!

There’s also a bit of a vibe check – if you’re excited to make your wedding day something amazing, I’m totally onboard and I think we’d work well together!

Lastly, there are no obligations to book, the main thing I’m focusing on is whether it would work out. (I’ve had tough clients in the past, I just wanna make sure everything goes smoothly and we’ve got the best chance of success!)

What if we AREN’T a fit?

I’d be happy to give you an hour or 2 of my time so you’re totally clear with what your next few wedding planning steps are, in full detail. You’ll end the call feeling glad you made it either way.

Why Book Now?

Every passing week is one that hasn’t had a professional looking over or making decisions. Opportunities are missed, errors are made, problems are created, and you’re using up your own time working when a planner could be doing it for you.

That’s why booking early gives you the best results and most benefits. Slots are limited, especially for peak wedding season (if your wedding is in March, April, October, November).
